Our story
The story of Fences R Us started in 2003 when, as a family, decided it was time to start their own family business. With one employee and a few basic tools, Manny Manresa and his wife, Maritza, embarked on a business venture that would turn out to be a most rewarding business experience. When starting the business, the Manresas took into consideration the area where they lived, what was one of the main forces that were driving the economy in the Ocala/Marion County area, and experience with what they knew: horses and farms. The result? Fencing.
At the time, there were only two or three fence companies in the area, and it was obvious the area could certainly benefit from more fencing companies. Manny had been taking care of his parents’ large farm in Marion County for several years and was very familiar with fencing needs and requirements for farms. Taking habits and needs of horses and cattle into consideration when designing and building a fence, were critical for the animal’s safety and wellbeing. In addition to that, Manny had an innate ability to design beautiful fences that added to the aesthetics of any farm. Along with that and his reputation for being an honest contractor and building quality fences at reasonable prices, Fences R Us is today one of the oldest and most successful fence companies in the area.
Fences R Us can handle any fencing project including small household chain link, ornamental, aluminum, or privacy fence to industrial chain link fencing and gates. In addition, Fences R Us are experts in the agricultural fencing industry. They have designed and built all types of fencing (vinyl, three and four board, top board with wire, chain link, privacy fence, aluminum ornamental fencing) and fencing related projects such as round pens, European walkers, feed pens, riding arenas, pole barns and fence painting.
The company works on everything from small residential lots to large cattle and horse operations. Past clients include horse training facilities, cattle farms, land developers, subdivisions, show arenas, and the World Equestrian Center in Ocala. Every job uses pressure treated or creosote treated materials sourced direct from the mill.
